FiroBlock is India's most advanced curtain wall firestop system — a certified perimeter barrier engineered to seal the gap between floor slabs and glass facades, preventing vertical fire and smoke spread across floors of high-rise buildings.
FiroBlock is the flagship fire protection brand of Super Creations Interiors & Exteriors Pvt Ltd., built on a strong legacy within India's construction industry. Since the early 2000s, Super Creations has delivered high-performance interior and exterior building solutions, consistently setting industry benchmarks for quality, execution excellence, and technical reliability.
Leveraging two decades of industry expertise, FiroBlock was developed in close collaboration with facade consultants, fire engineers, and independent testing experts to meet the most stringent safety standards.
As a 'Made in India' initiative, backed by a world-class manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, FiroBlock is specifically engineered for curtain wall interfaces and perimeter fire containment.
The company has earned the trust of India's leading developers including Sattva, My Home, Brigade, Bagmane, Meenakshi, Raheja, and Prestige, and is recognised for dependable project execution and responsive service support.
Curtain wall facades are installed with a gap between the facade and the concrete slab — an allowance for facade movement and deflection due to wind and structural loads. These gaps run through every floor, acting like a chimney for fire and smoke to travel from the source floor to all other floors.
Additionally, fire can spread through a "leap-frogging" phenomenon — breaking through the glass on one floor and jumping to the next via the spandrel zone.
FiroBlock closes this gap with a tested and certified firestop system, maintaining compartmentation in line with global standards including IS 18190 and ASTM E2307. It is the world's first IS 18190 certified curtain wall firestop system, delivering 2-hour fire integrity to non-fire-rated facades.
Beyond protection, FiroBlock enhances acoustic and thermal performance while integrating seamlessly with glass and metal facades.
By combining three specialist products — FireStop, Mullion Protection, and Spandrel Protection — FiroBlock provides a continuous fire, smoke, and thermal seal across the most vulnerable zones of high-rise curtain wall facades.
Seals the floor-to-facade perimeter gap, maintaining floor-to-floor compartmentation in voids up to 150mm wide. The core element of the entire system.
Wraps and protects the aluminium mullion framework from thermal warping and collapse during fire exposure, preserving the structural integrity of the facade.
Applied to the spandrel zone to prevent the dangerous leap-frogging effect where fire breaks through glass and spreads to the floor above.
The heart of the FiroBlock system. Features a non-combustible rockwool core laminated with aluminium foil on both sides. Engineered for precision fit and tested for 2-hour fire and smoke integrity, while accommodating facade movement and thermal deflection.

| Board Size | 1.2 m × 1.10 m |
| Certification | WTIPL-169/170 |
A high-density rockwool board designed to protect mullions from intense heat and fire. The foil-faced side reflects radiant heat while the exposed side contacts the mullions directly, preventing heat-induced deformation and facade failure.

| Application | Mullion Protection |
| Fire Rated For | 2 hrs |
A dense rockwool slab applied directly to a single sheet of back pan in the spandrel zone. Provides thermal insulation, radiant heat reflection, and prevents vertical fire leap-frogging between floors — covering all backpan sizes for different curtain wall designs.

FiroBlock is designed for fast, precise site installation using standardised boards and brackets. Each step must be followed exactly as per the certified methodology to achieve compliant 2-hour fire integrity.
Determine the strip width as: Void + 10% (plus deflection allowance if applicable). The additional compression ensures a continuous seal that accommodates facade movement over the building's lifetime.
Insert standardised B235 brackets into the rockwool core, positioned 300mm from edges. The 'L' leg must be embedded to at least 75% of void depth to ensure structural support and compliance.
Apply ATP-120 aluminium tape across all butt joints and slab interfaces to ensure continuity of the fire and smoke barrier. This critical step eliminates any potential weak points in the system.
Achieve full compartmentalization, smoke seal, and tested 2-hour fire integrity. The completed system is compliant with both IS 18190 and ASTM E2307, providing verified protection for occupants and structure alike.
FiroBlock has been independently tested at Winwall Technology India Pvt Ltd. (WTIPL), an NABL-accredited laboratory, in strict accordance with international and Indian standards.
Test Reports: WTIPL-2025-169 (ASTM E2307) & WTIPL-2025-170 (IS 18190). Test date: 26 November 2025. Fire barrier dimensions tested: 3600mm (L) × 120mm (H) × 150mm (W). Curtainwall dimensions: 4236mm (W) × 5350mm (H).
FiroBlock stands as a hallmark of excellence in facade fire protection, embodying precision engineering and uncompromising safety standards. Choosing FiroBlock means embracing peace of mind through superior protection and unmatched quality tailored to meet the evolving needs of modern architecture.
Manufactured using non-combustible, recyclable materials like rockwool and aluminium foil, FiroBlock also supports India's Make in India initiative with a production capacity exceeding 1,000 m² per week.
FiroBlock is the leading made-in-India dry perimeter barrier system, tested to ASTM E2307 and the world's first IS 18190 certified system. With a production capacity of over 1,000 m² per week and backed by Super Creations' two decades of experience, it is the most reliable and code-compliant curtain wall firestop available in India today.
Curtain wall facades leave a gap between the facade and the slab to accommodate movement and deflection. This gap acts like a chimney, allowing fire and smoke to travel from floor to floor across the entire building. Additionally, the spandrel zone is vulnerable to the leap-frogging effect — fire breaking through glass and jumping to the next floor. A certified perimeter barrier like FiroBlock, rated for 2 hours in F & T-rating, contains fire and ensures safe evacuation of occupants.
IS 18190 is the Indian building code that evaluates the performance of perimeter barrier systems. FiroBlock is the first provider in the world to hold this test certification, demonstrating compliance for 2 hours in both F-rating (flame) and T-rating (temperature insulation).
Firestopping materials must be flexible enough to accommodate facade movement over the building's lifetime. FiroBlock uses non-combustible rockwool cores laminated with aluminium foil — tested as a complete system (not individual products) per IS 18190, ASTM E2307, and EN 1364-4, simulating real-world building scenarios. Full material specifications are available in the downloadable brochure.
Installation must be performed by an experienced person following the certified methodology without deviation. FiroBlock's four-step process (Sizing → Fixing → Sealing → Completion) uses standardised components for fast and accurate installation. FiroBlock provides on-site technical assistance to ensure compliant 2-hour firestopping. Specification documents with the full process and materials list are available to download from the website.
Always wear gloves, a dust mask, and safety glasses when handling FiroBlock boards. Avoid toothed saws, which may peel the aluminium foil facing and compromise performance.
Store all FiroBlock products indoors and under a waterproof cover to protect against moisture damage before installation. Do not leave products exposed on site for extended periods.
All FiroBlock products are manufactured using non-combustible, recyclable materials — primarily rockwool and aluminium foil — supporting India's commitment to greener, safer construction.
